DEEPS-LAB

Lab full name
Didactic and Educational Laboratory on Electrical Power Systems
Research Activities

The Educational Laboratory on Electric Power System is dedicated to activities on technological and operational development of electric power systems, networks and installations. The research includes electric power systems at different scales (from user installations and microgrids, up to distribution grid and transmission networks) for the evaluation of different kinds of grid analysis (in steady-state operation, in fault conditions, in dynamic behaviour) for the development of operation and control methods at different time scales (e.g. long-medium term evolution planning, operation programming, real-time management). Various exchanges with other laboratories and technological demosntrators are in force, to remotely elaborate operation and control strategies and to perform continuous operation analysis of real and experimental installations. The laboratory is exploited as a support to education and didactic activities of the Electric Power Systems group, thanks to the presence of computers, experimental facilities and instrumentation, involving different degree courses of DEI and other Departments, as well as for training and thesis and for third mission.
